Longtime buddy plus once a role-model
more recently somewhat of a fuddy-duddy
per his wife, but doctor opines Early Dementia:
Past mensch’s mobile rings mine every morning
at nine on the dot before whoever dialed hangs up
as concentric circles of intimates narrow with emotion
of support radiating inward—and grief directed outward.
